FAQ

1. What will occur to LED displays if drive them with a over rated current?

This may affect LED display life significant. Severely, the LED display may completely turn off or the luminous intensity may drop for a few hours.

2. Is it ok to adopt water resistant treatment to LED segment displays in case to be exposed to humid environments?

Yes, as normally LED segment displays are not water resistant. Still, this is decided by user’s application and we don’t advise or recommend in terms of this or ensure the effectiveness if applying this treatments.

3. Is there any precaution when inplementing flow soldering?

Unlike discrete chip LEDs, LED segment displays are housed in larger packages, which makes them easy to damage while preheating. Therefore, it is suggested, during the soldering process, preheating is implemented in such a way to make sure that the temperature inside does not exceed 100℃. Also, to shorten the preheat time.
